Tri-City Elks

Country line dancing every Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. Cost is $6 per person. Come and join the fun. Proceeds to benefit Elks charities.

Toys for our neighborhood kids. Come join us Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. to enjoy a great food (buffet style) and two great bands, Whiskey Rhode and Stumbling Murphy, playing at the lodge. Entrance fee is a new unwrapped toy. Toys will be donated to children in our community through local churches and to some families that we will also be donating a food basket to for the holiday.

Christmas Shopping Night

There will be a Christmas Shopping Night Dec. 4 at Our Lady of Mercy School, Fourth Ave., East Greenwich, from 5-9 p.m. There will be beautiful handmade items and artwork from local crafters and artisans, a wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, a sampling of favorites from farmer’s markets and fantastic raffle prizes. Crafters for Critters

The 2nd Annual Crafting for Critters Christmas Craft Fair will be held Dec. 6 at the Buttonwoods Community Center, 3027 West Shore Road, Warwick, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Hosted by Friends of the Warwick Animal Shelter, over 40 vendors will be gathered under one roof selling their wares just in time for Christmas! Products for sale include stained glass, Silpada jewelry, tutus for children, handmade chocolates, photography, handmade candles, crafts for animal lovers, handcrafted jewelry, Wildtree herbs, Pampered Chef housewares, baked goods, all natural dog treats, clothing, books and more. Toys For Kids Drive

The first annual Frank M. Rosa Toys For Kids Drive Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Backstreet Bar & Grill. Bring an unwrapped toy. All toys will go to St. Rita’s Church and JONAH. There will be a free buffet and entertainment. For more information call 255-0457.

Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus

Pawtuxet Valley Community Chorus presents “The Season of Joy” at West Warwick High School Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Featured guests are Our Lady of Mercy Children’s Choir and Immaculate Conception Bell Choir. Ticket prices $12 in advance, $15 at the door. For tickets call 862-3105.

Christmas at Spell Hall

The Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead presents the 1st Annual Christmas at Spell Hall Dec. 6 and 7 from 12-3 p.m. at the Gen. Nathanael Greene Homestead, 50 Taft St. Coventry. The homestead will be decorated for the holiday. There will be live colonial music as well as docents who will be dressed in colonial garb. The museum gift shop will be open for holiday shopping and a raffle. Refreshments will be served in the Visitors Center Cottage. Admission is adults $6, children $3. Annual Holiday Concert

The Narragansett Bay Chorus will be presenting its annual holiday concert Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Ocean State Theater Company, 1245 Jefferson Blvd. Joining the 15-time Northeast District Chorus Champions will be Trade Secret (international men’s senior medallists), Wake the Neighborhoods (a women’s medallists quartet), Curtain Cal (college quartet favorites) and Southeast Light (a very entertaining mixed “a cappella” quartet.) Bingo

Bingo will be held Dec. 6 in St. Kevin’s Church Hall, 333 Sandy Lane. Doors open at 5 p.m., bingo starts at 6 starting with a $100 special, with the last special being $100.

NYC Day Trip

Holiday Craft Fair

There will be a holiday craft fair Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Club Jogues, 184 Boston St., Coventry. There will be raffles to benefit local charities and handmade items.

Little Rhody Rembrandt

The December meeting of Little Rhody Rembrandts will be held Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. general meeting followed by an afternoon painting program. It is located at Vasa Hall, Old Bald Hill Road (on the road behind Marshalls Plaza) Cranston. The public is invited.

Swinging Squares

Swinging Squares of RI square dance workshops will be held Monday nights, Dec. 8 and 15 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the East Smithfield Neighborhood Center, 7 Esmond Street, Smithfield. Fee is $6 per person. JONAH Meat Raffle

Join your friends and neighbors in support of JONAH (Join Our Neighborhood And Help). On Dec. 10 JONAH will hold a meat raffle at Meadowbrook Lanes (2530 Warwick Avenue) from 6-8 p.m.  Selections of meat – steaks, chops, sausage, ham – will be raffled off to benefit JONAH. Raffle tickets are seven for $5 and can be purchased that night or ahead of time at Meadowbrook Lanes (call Rob at 527-1996). A donation of an unwrapped toy will get you seven free tickets. Come for a fun night and to support Jonah.

Christmas Concert

Saints Rose and Clement Parish, Warwick, will be hosting a Christmas concert Dec. 12. This year, the Bishop Hendricken String Orchestra and the St. Rose of Lima Middle School Chorus will be joining the parish choir. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and will fill your hearts with Christmas cheer. Tickets will be sold at the door (adults $3, children under 6 free).

Christmas in Song

St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane Warwick, will be presenting a concert

entitled “Christmas in Song” Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. at the church. The concert will feature the Choir of St. Kevin, the Bishop Hendricken Young Men’s Chorus, guest soloists and a visit from Santa himself. Please join them for a delightful evening of musical fun.

Gift Wrapping Fundraiser

Hate to gift wrap? Troop 186 of Girl Scouts of Southern New England is holding a gift wrapping fundraiser Dec. 13 at Warwick Central Baptist Church. The event will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the lower hall of the church. This event will raise money for a trip the girls will take in October 2015 to Pinegrove Dude Ranch. Bring your gifts and the girls will make them beautiful for you.

Warwick Figure Skaters Registration

Warwick Figure Skaters will hold mid-season open registration Dec. 13 from 1-3 at Thayer Arena and Dec. 14 from 1-3:00 at Warburton Arena, 925 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Their learn to skate group lesson programs taught by professional instructors will begin Jan. 3 for nine weeks. Club information is available on their web site, www.warwickfs.org.

Warwick Scrapbooking Rally Group

The Warwick Scrapbooking Rally Group for beginner and experienced scrappers, meets the third Saturday of each month in the Idea Studio at the Warwick Public Library on Sandy Lane from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The next meeting is on Dec. 20. The meeting is free and open to all. They will also be holding the second holiday scrapbooking instructional class from 10-11 a.m. Come learn a new skill and have fun. Basic supplies will be provided. Participants need only to bring an assortment of pictures (6-12) for the project.
