The romantic comedy “The Cameraman” (1928) starring Buster Keaton will be aired on the big screen at Warwick Public Library Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 2 and 7 p.m.
Buster Keaton made smart and funny movies with astonishing stunts and gut-busting gags. With “The Cameraman,” he gave us a movie with a sincere and touching romance, too. While trying to break into the news business, Buster’s character Luke Shannon meets and woos a beautiful receptionist who’s also caught the eye of a rival news photographer.
Amazingly, even though it’s a silent film, “The Cameraman” feels completely modern, like a movie that could have been made last year. You’ll be enchanted, astounded and thrilled, and you’ll laugh until your sides ache. It’s guaranteed!
