Buttonwoods Fish & Chips: Best gift certificate idea ever for the holiday

Meet Buttonwoods Fish & Chips fan Larry Davis as he pauses between meals in front of his home's Koi pond in Warwick.

The trees may be bare and the days may be growing shorter and colder, but there is always a warm place to retreat to in Warwick ~ no matter the weather or the season. That place is Buttonwoods Fish & Chips, and it is exactly the place where you will find loyal customers Larry and Lois Davis ~ no matter the weather or the season.

The Davis's are like members of the family here at Buttonwoods, making this a weekly (and sometimes bi-weekly, and even sometimes twice a day) destination for their own children and grandchildren. It is not unusual on any given day to find a member of the Davis clan at this welcoming eatery on Buttonwoods Avenue ~ and after 48 years of marriage, two daughters, a son and three grandchildren ~ there are lots of Davises to go around!

While Lois and Larry love everything on the menu, Larry is partial to the seafood, especially the flaky Fish & Chips and the Fruitti de Mare over linguine, a Friday Night special. In fact, they love the food here so much that they even brought some of Buttonwoods' popular Clam Cakes and Chowder to relatives in Buffalo, New York! Buttonwoods has gone national!

The Davis's love Buttonwood's proprietors Tony and Jackie Fiore, and the feeling is mutual. Like all of the Fiore's customers, they are known by name. The Fiore's, who have owned and operated this home-style restaurant for ten years, make customer service one of their biggest priorities - along with their desire to create wholesome, affordable, and consistently delicious homemade food.

Many diners have been known to start their days here over a breakfast of fluffy pancakes, fruit-smothered waffles, classic French Toast, tender homefries, savory omelettes, steamy oatmeal, and homemade hash ~ and then return for lunch the same day! Their daily breakfast include scrumptious offerings such as a Grilled Keilbasa and Peppers omelet or Peanut Butter and Banana-Stuffed French Toast (so yummy!).

Lunch is just as tempting with favorite traditional hot and cold sandwiches, garden fresh salads and tasty hot dishes. On Friday evenings, bring a bottle of your favorite wine and join the Davis's and legions of other fans as they enjoy one of Buttonwoods hearty, homemade American and Italian-style meals.

For the loved ones in your life, Buttonwoods has a GREAT gift offer. For the holidays, when you purchase a $25.00 gift certificate, you will receive an additional $5.00 towards your next meal. Great for newcomers and regulars alike.
