Woodbury Union Church in Conimicut was one of 11 statewide sites where people could drop off their slightly used coats and winter wear as well as find a coat if they needed one. This is the 18th year the Buy Nothing Day Winter Coat Exchange started by Gregg Gerritt has been held. Here, Nancy Wood drops off a coat to Sarah Klyberg of the church. Looking on is Richard Deering. Parishioners and members of the Conimicut Village Association donated garments in addition to people stopping in throughout the morning. By mid-morning more than 30 people had visited the church to pick out coats, including these kids who found the scarves and gloves they needed.
