There was a crash as a car drove through the front door of the Meadowbook CVS at about 11 p.m. Sunday. Fortunately, according to Lt. Michael Gilbert, two customers sustained minor injuries not requiring hospitalization. The woman driver, who said she stepped on the gas instead of the brake, was extricated from the car by firefighters. Gilbert said she was unharmed. By Monday afternoon Ted’s Construction of Woonsocket had completed a temporary entrance and the store was reopened. Chris Aubin, pictured at right, son of the man who started the company, said Ted’s has been repairing situations like this for CVS for decades. On average, he said, five cars drive into stores across New England every year. “You get good at things like this,” he said.” Police brought no charges. (Warwick Beacon photo)
