Carmel G. “Denny” Denicourt

Carmel G. “Denny” Denicourt, 82, died Sunday, May 11, 2014. He was the former husband of Beverly J. Denicourt.

Born in South Kingston, a son of the late Gerald M. and Gladys M. (Moffitt) Denicourt, he has been a resident of Warwick since 1960. Mr. Denicourt was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Providence College. He was been employed at RIPTA in Risk Management for almost 20 years retiring in 2011. He formerly worked at Traveler’s and American Universal Insurance Companies, where he was a casualty claim law associate and supervisor of the Serious Injury and Liability Department. He had served as a captain in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He was the father of Judith A. Tata, Nancy J. Lillie, Jacqueline M. Sjogren and Michelle T. Corley. He was the brother of the late Geraldine Cavanagh-Wood. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
