To the Editor:

Addiction is a serious community health issue affecting thousands of Rhode Islanders. To compare the wanting of a doughnut is an insult to the citizens affected by the problem and the hundreds of family members grieving the loss of loved ones from overdoses. Addiction is not a joke and cartoons like this increase the stigma of this disease.
