It was a mob, all with handfuls of cash that turned out Saturday to descend on Carol’s Country Store in Apponaug. Backed by Lets Buy Local and inspired by the organization’s co-founder, Timothy Hudyncia, the cash mobs are held monthly with the purpose of promoting and helping local businesses. Carol Pratt, owner of the store, seen at the register, was thrilled with being selected. Selection of the store was kept a secret until the group arrived at her door.
