Charles Sewall Round, “Chuck”, 66, passed away suddenly at home on January 17, 2014. He was the husband of Laurie Wojnar Round.

He was the oldest son of the late Dr. Charles B. and Shirley Messinger Round. Formerly of Warwick, Rhode Island, Chuck attended Moses Brown School and Pilgrim High School, class of '66. He was a graduate of Roger Williams College in Bristol, RI. Throughout an evolving career, he was salesman, promoter, owner of a security alarm company, fisherman, carpenter/house builder and commodity trader. He and his wife retired to Key West in 2006.

He took great pleasure in music, reading, and hanging out with folks, smokin' and jokin'. But his great joy was sailing and working on his boat. He believed, as Kenneth Grahame wrote in Wind in the Willows, there is “absolutely nothing...half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

Chuck is survived by his wife, Laurie, of 42 years; his five siblings and their spouses: Michael (Susan) Round of Honduras, Nancy (Steve) Haley of RI, Donald (Wilma) Round of RI, Philip (Beth) Round of Wyoming, and Stephen (Sherrie) Round of New Jersey; sister-in-law Tina Jowdry of Maine, brother-in-law Ernest Wojnar of RI; mother-in-law Anna Wojnar of RI; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be planned for a future date in Key West.
