’Twas 5 days before Christmas and all thru the Board,
not a claimant was stirring; all casebooks were stored.
The dreary old place had a new festive air.
Its walls were adorned with an artistic flair.
Snowmen and choirboys were in the décor,
along with grace notes from a musical score.
A plump Christmas tree twinkled in style
from a precarious perch on top of the file.
A buffet was spread on long tables with care,
prepared by the staff for their guests to share.
’Twas planned that the referees soon would appear
with bourbon and scotch, plus a small keg of beer.
Soon all were assembled and were of good cheer,
as they said “Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year.”
