CitiFinancial clothing drive to help Goodwill

During the month of August, the CitiFinancial Servicing Center at 180 Midway Road in Cranston (Garden City) will collect clothing donations to help support the mission of Goodwill®, which will benefit residents of Rhode Island.

CitiFinancial’s partnership with Goodwill reflects its philanthropic and community-oriented corporate culture. Employees leverage their professional skills and experience by volunteering their time directly to non-profits and other community organizations.

Donors in Rhode Island play a vital role in Goodwill’s ability to fulfill its mission of helping people go to work. To pay for its programs, Goodwill sells donated goods, including clothing and household items in more than 2,700 stores in the United States and Canada as well as online. The revenue collected from each local store stays within that community, providing job training programs, employment placement programs and community-based programs, such as financial education and youth mentoring. Each local Goodwill designs its own programs with local job seekers, individuals and families in mind.
