Claire J. (McEvilly) Tully, 88, of Williamsburg Circle, Warwick, died March 28, 2012 at South County Hospital, Wakefield. She was the wife of the late James F. Tully.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Dennis and Mary (Mullen) McEvilly, she lived in Warwick since 1955. Mrs. Tully was a real estate agent with the Gallery of Homes on Post Road in Warwick for several years before retiring in 1982. She was previously employed at Citizens Bank at Wildes Corner in Warwick.
She is survived by a daughter, Jane Fish of South Kingstown; a son, James D. Tully of Warwick; a sister, Barbara Elson of Warwick; five grandchildren, Brett Fish, Blair Fish, James Tully, Jeffrey Tully and John Tully; and eight great-grandchildren. The family reflects, "Mom taught us much about enjoying the things of this world while keeping our eye on the real meaning of life. She loved the beach, enjoyed a nice baked stuffed lobster and, with Dad, gave us the gift of faith."
A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 31 in St. Benedict Church, 135 Beach Ave., Warwick. Burial was private.
