Claire (McCarthy) McNamara, 94, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late William J. McNamara.
She was a daughter of the late David and Katherine (O’Reilly) McCarthy. She was a retired secretary for the Diocese of Providence.
Claire was the beloved mother of William McNamara (Judith), Marian Lefoley (Christopher) and the late Vincent and Rosemarie McNamara; sister Hannah Getchell and the late David, Joseph, Vincent, John McCarthy. She is also survived by her niece and caregiver Joanne McCarthy; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Kevin Church, Sandy Lane.
