Clara L. (Zuczek) Hadfield, 70, a computer typist for the American Mathematical Society for 20 years before retiring in 1992, died November 18, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Hadfield for 49 years.
She was a daughter of the late John and Pearl (Glonek) Zuczek. Mrs. Hadfield was a member of the Mended Hearts RI Chapter #185 and enjoyed gardening, nature, crossword puzzles, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
Besides her husband she is survived by four children and their spouses, Robert W. Hadfield Jr. (Maggie), Christopher J. Hadfield, Leslie A. Maceda (Jason) and Lori L. Proia (Stephen); a brother, Steven Zuczek; a sister, Helen Szantai (Steven); and four grandchildren, Nicholas S. Proia, Derek S. Maceda, Erika N. Maceda and Lucas S. Proia. She was the sister of the late Chester Zuczek.
Her funeral will be held Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy Church, Warwick Ave., at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
