Clergy Association to host musical celebration of MLK at Park Theatre

On Monday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m., the Cranston Interfaith Clergy Association will proudly present its second annual Dr. Martin Luther King Celebration.

The event will be held at the Park Theatre, located at 848 Park Ave. in Cranston. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

“Voices of Peace” is a musical celebration of the legacy of Dr.Martin Luther King, Jr., under the direction of Dr. Joel Gluck; Bob Nolan, accompanist; and the Cranston interfaith Chorus and Band.

The keynote speaker will be the Rev. Rosalie Norman-McNaney, an ordained American Baptist minister who formerly served in Cranston, and is author of “Keep the Fire Alive.”

Featured guests include Terrell Osborne, host of “In the Spirit,” Southern New England’s No. 1 gospel program on 95.5 WBRU, and the “Dynamic New Force Steppin’ Drill Team.”

The Woodridge United Church of Christ is located at 546 Budlong Road in Cranston.  Weekly services are held every Sunday at 10 a.m. Following the service each Sunday, a coffee hour is held in Fellowship Hall.
