Work on the Mill Cove Bridge on Tidewater Drive that was to have been completed in late June has picked up in the last week with the deck being installed and detail work in the final stages of completion. Now the city is looking to coordinate utility work so that stretch of Tidewater from West Shore Road to the south side of the bridge can be paved. Noting the delays and fearing they could be extended, Ward 5 Councilman Ed Ladouceur has been pushing for completion of the job. Removing forms for the bridge railing is Wayne Morris of Algar Construction. Cardi Construction is the general contractor, and the project is to be finished no later than Sept. 18.
