The Conimicut Village Association is participating in the 2014 CROP (Christian Rural Overseas Program) Walk for Hunger, this year sponsored by Woodbury Union Church. The walk will take place on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 9:30 a.m. until noon with registration starting at 9 a.m. The walk will follow a three-mile loop through Conimicut and will begin and end at Woodbury Union Church.
“It would be great to have a good showing of support for CVA and to walk together as an association. I registered a Conimicut Village Association team and CVA will also donate $10 for each person who registers to walk as part of our team,” association president Ginny Barham wrote in an email to members.
She urged association members and all those interested in supporting the CROP Walk for Hunger to use the following link, hunger.cwsglobal.org/warwickri, to join the walk and register to solicit sponsors.
