Conservation District has opening for director

Posted

The Southern Rhode Island Conservation District is accepting petitions for the election of one district director to serve a three-year term.

Nominees must be residents of either Kent or Washington counties, the area served by the district.

The district board of directors consists of five persons who oversee district operations that address agricultural and conservation projects and programs in the two counties. The district board of directors meets monthly, mainly at URI’s East Farm in Kingston and occasionally at project sites. To apply for the vacancy, residents of Kent and or Washington counties should visit the district’s website, SRICD.org, click on the About Us tab, scroll down to Board Elections tab and click to download the nomination petition form.
