Constance L. (Martin) Garceau, 84, of Warwick, passed away while surrounded by her loving family December 14, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Roland F. Garceau for 57 years.
Born in Warwick on Aug. 24, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Howard E. and Eva C. (Hewitt) Martin and was a lifelong Warwick resident. Connie was a caring, gentle and loving person with an unyielding devotion to her family and friends. She was always there to brighten the lives of others through her thoughtful acts of kindness and passion for giving. Connie was adored by all who knew her and will be truly missed.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Catherine B. Garceau of Warwick; two sons, Roland F. Garceau Jr. of Nashua, N.H. and Robert J. Garceau and his wife, Linda, of Warwick; three grandchildren, Kristen A. Voorhis and her husband, Mark Carbonneau, Robert J. Garceau Jr. and Kaitlyn E. Garceau; and her beloved dog, Calli. She was the mother of the late Deborah A. Voorhis.
Her funeral was held Dec. 19 from Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. William Church, 200 Pettaconsett Ave., Warwick. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
