Cork County Irish Pub: The best place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day

Posted

Far across the Atlantic, filling the streets and pubs of the misty Emerald Isle, revelers are gathering to celebrate the country’s most renowned holiday, St. Patrick’s Day! Party-goers everywhere will be marching in parades, raising their beers in hearty toasts and heralding their patron saint, St. Patrick. Though far from her native homeland, Irish lass Cora McAuliffe has plenty of reasons of her own to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as she marks the second anniversary of the grand opening of County Cork Irish Pub, her welcoming pub on Waterfront Drive.

County Cork Irish Pub is an authentic Irish pub which boasts of popular “pub grub” style food and lots of ambiance. Come inside from the early spring chill and pull a stool up to the pub’s original mahogany bar where you can enjoy a 20 oz. Imperial pour of Guinness while you feast on a platter of golden brown Fish and Chips or a crock of Guinness stew. Head chef Will now introduces his specialty “Burger of the Week”, beginning with this week’s Swiss Mushroom Melt and progressing to his sweet & savory Hawaiian burger, spilling over with pineapples, teriyaki sauce and sautéed onions.

On St. Patrick’s Day, County Cork opens at 10:00am and will be serving up classic Reuben’s, Corned Beef sandwiches, Saugies, chicken tenders and wings ALL day long. And for your festivities, the bar will be open and ready to serve up your favorite brew.

This month, County Cork is also offering unbelievable bargains on Groupon® – so check them out online. Available for $11.00 is $20.00 worth of soul-satisfying food, and for $21.00, you can get $40.00 of food! What a deal!

In addition, McAuliffe continues to give back to her community through her Meat Raffle Fundraiser, all of whose proceeds go to RIMO (the RI Military Organization Youth Academy). The raffle takes place every Saturday March 29th (excluding this weekend) from 2:00pm until 5pm. Winners take home fresh meats and produce from local vendors.

Don’t forget County Cork Irish Pub’s homestyle Sunday morning breakfasts and their Dinner Special (soup or salad, an entrée from the specials board or regular menu, and a domestic beer, glass of house wine or a soft drink, all for only $13.00) from 5:00pm to 10:00, Monday through Thursday.

As if it could get any better, enjoy live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night, including the melodious voice of Cora herself (performing on the 14th!)
