Costantino L. Rotondo

Costantino L. Rotondo, 83, passed away February 12, 2012 after a brave and valiant fight with a long illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Camille B. (Robert) Rotondo for 53 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Elisa (Colardo) Rotondo. Mr. Rotondo was employed as a cement truck driver for M.A. Gammino Construction Co. for 43 years, where he served as a union steward before retiring. He served his country honorably as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952 and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Kelly-Gazzero VFW Post and Teamsters Local 251 AFL-CIO.
Mr. Rotondo was the best friend and protector of his two daughters, Sandra C. Rotondo and Lori A. Carden and her husband, George F. Carden Jr., and his two grandchildren, Christina C. and MacKenzie C. Carden. He was the brother of Joseph and Eugene M. Rotondo, Gloria A. Mobilia and the late Assunta Rotondo.
His funeral will be held Feb. 15 at 9:30 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clement Church, Long St., at 10:30 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
