An Oakland Beach resident walking his dog earlier this week discovered a stand of trees and shrubs cut down on city land facing Greenwich Bay and Brushneck Cove. Responding to that call, David Picozzi, acting director of public works, said that it appeared from the fine cut of the stumps that who ever cut down the trees used a battery-powered Sawzall probably at night. Councilwoman Donna Travis, who viewed the scene, speculated an area resident had done it so as to gain a better water view.
