Warwick police are seeking a female who successfully passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a Subway sandwich shop last Monday. The unknown female, seen in this image from security footage, entered the shop at Toll Gate Road and Providence Street shortly after 6 p.m. on Jan. 5. She first asked to change the $100 bill into smaller bills, and then proceeded to purchase a gift card with the change from the phony money. The female then got into the passenger side of a red or maroon Ford Taurus, which was waiting for her in the parking lot. It is unknown at this time if the female operating the vehicle is involved in the crime, but police are asking anyone who recognizes the vehicle or female suspect to call 401-468-4233 or the anonymous TIP line at 401-732-8744.
