County Cork Irish Pub: Join the festivities on St. Patrick's Day
"Cora from Cork," surrounded by loyal fans, including Phillip O'Shea (left) and Bob Hastings, gathering on an early spring day at County Cork Irish Pub

magine a room full of laughter and cheer, of old friends and new, of good times to share and good times to remember. Picture a room awash with warmth as sunlight streams through the windows and the bay glistens in the background. Now imagine all this with a hearty bowl of Guinness Irish Stew, a platter of hand-cut fries ~ and plenty of Guinness beer to go around. And if it was possible to get any better than this, add to this scene the lustrous and enchanting voice of "Cora from Cork" and you have County Cork Irish Pub ~ a little bit of the Emerald Isle, right here in our little Rhode Isle.

County Cork Irish Pub is the pride and passion of Cora from Cork, a true Irish import who has brought her charm and love of good food, good company, and good drink to our shores. Taking up house near Greenwich Bay Marina, this cozy, pub-style restaurant draws the likes of Warwick native Bob Hastings, (an original Warwick Beacon delivery boy from days gone by) and from across the Atlantic, visitor Phillip O'Shea, a Brit born of Irish descent. Surrounded by longtime friends, Hastings and O'Shea join a crowd that has come to bask in the hospitality of County Cork - and to get in the mood for St. Patrick's Day!

While the food and ambiance here are always unforgettable, what could better than St. Patrick's Day in an Irish pub? Cora and her chef Shawn are serving up a set menu on Sunday, March 17th of Reuben and corned beef sandwiches, along with wings, chicken tenders and hotdogs. Festivities will be held inside and out (rain or shine) beginning at 10:00am with live music starting at 1:00pm. Come hear Cora sing and hear the sounds of "Wet Paint". All weekend long, beginning on Friday night at 8:00 until midnight, and from 4:00 until "whenever" on Saturday, you will be treated to the tunes of "Amadans", an Irish sessions band. Fun and food for all.

St. Patrick's Day comes only once a year, but you will always find a full menu of homemade food, including Shawn's popular Chili, Cordon Bleu, Baked Scrod and flavor-packed chowder here at County Cork. Come to their full-service bar for an original pour of their best-selling Guinness beer, an authentic Irish whiskey or any other thirst-quenching drink you desire.

Don't forget their amazing $10 dinner special, held every Monday through Thursday from 5:00 till 10:00pm. Breakfast is also served every Sunday morning from 8:00 until noon. There is also live entertainment every Friday & Saturday from 8:00pm - midnight, and Sundays from 5:00-9:00pm.
