County Cork Irish Pub: Wishes you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving

Posted

This week, the nation celebrates Thanksgiving ~ a day when we embrace our heritage and reflect on the many privileges we have enjoyed since our country's humble beginnings. Thanksgiving is a day of lasting traditions ~ of family, and food, and counting blessings. If there is anything Cora McAuliffe, the proprietor of County Cork Irish Pub knows about, it is counting blessings ~ at this time of year, and every day hereafter.

McAuliffe made her own "pilgrimage" from Ireland to the United States in 2004. She became a bona fide citizen in 2009 and has lived the "American Dream" ever since. Here, she has been able to enjoy the privilege of marrying, owning a home and owning a business through which she can give back to her adopted community ~ and that is what she does!

County Cork Irish Pub is a cozy, authentic Irish pub which overlooks the sparkling waters of Warwick Cove. Recently, County Cork finished a successful "Meat Raffle" whose proceeds went to help homeless veterans. Because this fundraiser was so well received, Cora and her team will be starting another meat raffle, beginning on Saturday, January 18th from 2pm to 5pm, and continuing every Saturday thereafter. This is just one of the ways that Cora is saying "thank you" to her patrons and our veterans.

County Cork is the perfect destination to come to when seeking refuge from the chill and dampness of late fall. Pull a stool up to the graceful mahogany bar that anchors the room and enjoy a 20 oz. Imperial pour of Guinness while you feast on a heaping platter of scallops, shrimp and stuffed quahogs or a bowl of homemade chili. County Cork is known for its traditional "pub-grub", including their famous burgers, sandwiches, golden Fish & Chips, tender Pulled Pork, Saugies and hand-cut fries ~ and most of all, their homemade, "medley-in-your-mouth" Guinness Stew! Extend your Thanksgiving feast by indulging in their Thanksgiving Wrap - a savory combination of turkey, cranberry & stuffing. You can even enjoy .25 cent wings during every Patriots game.

Don't forget County Cork Irish Pub's homestyle Sunday morning breakfasts. Indulge your palate in generous portions of all your favorite breakfast fare, from pancakes to home fries to omelettes to some of the best hash in town. Start your Sundays mornings here from 8:30 to noon every weekend.

Guests will also be treated to a live band here on the night before Thanksgiving, so take a break from your holiday preparations and come hear "Wet Paint" on the 27th.
