A Cranston man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Friday morning, according to police.
Joseph R. Ardente, 21, of 575 Dyer Ave., lost control of his motorcycle on the off-ramp from Route 10 southbound onto Garfield Avenue at approximately 1:18 a.m., police said.
A preliminary investigation found he was traveling at a “high rate of speed” at the time, and was not wearing a helmet. No others vehicles were involved.
An investigation of the crash by a certified accident reconstructionist is ongoing, police said.
