Cynthia J. Ray, 63, of Lambert Lind Highway passed away at home on June 3, 2012.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Arthur D. and Ida M. (Cooney) Ray. A member of Calvary Chapel Greenmeadow of North Kingstown, Cynthia was a true servant who truly lived her life to honor Jesus. She was very involved in her church serving in the children's ministry, missions, Sewing Sister’s and various prayer ministries. With willing heart and hands whatever her hands found to do she did with joy. A prayer warrior, she prayed faithfully for so many! She was a faithful friend who always championed those she loved, with words of encouragement, grace and insight. She also loved a good debate and would always have the last word. Her legacy and last message to us would be wrapped up in these verses from Psalm 115:1: "Not to us Oh Lord, not to us, but to your name goes all the glory, for your unfailing love and faithfulness." She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Cynthia is survived by her two brothers: A. Douglas Ray and Roger K. Ray both of Warwick. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Calvary Chapel Greenmeadow, 266 Devils Foot Rd., North Kingstown.
