Daniel J. Dalton, III, 81, passed away at home on May 11, 2014. He was the husband of Carolyn (Pratt) Dalton.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Daniel and Catherine Dalton. Dan was a lifetime member the R.I. Yacht Club. He was a proud, private and charismatic man, who could brighten a room with his presence and smile.
He was the father of Dawn and Dorothy and the late John, Judy Ann and Daniel Dalton; stepfather of Cathy, David, Joseph Duquette and Cynthia Boehm; brother of the late Mary Calise and Nancy Dalton. He was called “PaPa Danny” by his loving grandchildren; and loving great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Jones-Walton-Sheridan Funeral Home, 1895 Broad St., at Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich, RI. Calling Hours Wednesday 4:00-7:00 p.m.
