Daniel J. Fennessy, age 87, of Cape Coral, Florida and Helen Avenue, Warwick, died on July 9, 2013 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Ft. Myers, Florida. He was the husband of the late Shirley R. (Christie) Fennessy.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Francis and Mary E. (Vaughn) Fennessy, he lived in Warwick for 60 years before moving to Florida two months ago. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Fennessy was a manager for Airport Parking Companies of America (APCOA) at the Green Airport in Warwick for 20 years before retiring in 1984.

He is survived by a son, David E. Fennessy of St. Joseph, Michigan, two daughters, Kathleen L. Blaquiere and her husband, Richard of Cape Coral, Fla., and Kerry E. Angelo and her husband, Bartholomew of Warwick; six grandchildren, Erin Gil (Adam), Daniel Fennessy, Aaron Blaquiere, Ryan Blaquiere (Kristy), Catherine Angelo, and Emily Angelo; and two great-grandchildren, Micah Butters, and Michelle Blaquiere. He was the brother of the late Mildred Thorpe, Francis Fennessy, Mary Harrell, James Fennessy, and Catherine Fennessy.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 16, at 9 a.m. in the Barrett and Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Red Cross, RI Chapter.
