David F. McPhail, 71, of Lincoln passed away peacefully Monday, November 28, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Loparto) McPhail.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Louis D. and Cecelia (Morin) McPhail, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 35 years. David was a firefighter for the City of Warwick for 12 years before becoming disabled.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children; Corrie Rosa and her husband, David of Cumberland, and David McPhail and his spouse, Peter LaTorre of Cranston; one sister, Doreen Pouler of Warwick, two brothers, Louis D. McPhail, Jr. of Port Charlotte, FL and Robert McPhail of Cranston; his three beloved grandchildren, David, Erin and Cameron Rosa; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Sandra Lariviere.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 2 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Jude’s Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln Thursday 4-7 p.m.
