David H. Rogers, 81, of Warwick, died at the RI Veteran’s Home on July 27, 2013. He was the husband of Judith (Bennett) Rogers.

He was the son of the late Herbert and Jane (Coyne) Rogers. David was a 1950 graduate of Cranston High School. A veteran of the Korean War, he received the Army’s Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 43. David graduated from the University of Rhode Island with high honors in 1960 and was a member of Tau Beta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi. He began his professional career with the former BIF Industries; his career then took him to the nuclear power field. He participated in and directed audits at numerous nuclear power stations in New England as well as Texas. In 1993, David received the Outstanding Achievement Award for Environmental and Safety Compliance at the Manchester Street Repowering Project. He retired from Yankee Atomic Power Company in 1997.

Along with his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Jill Rogers Lawlor of Warwick, husband, Thomas, Heather Bergman of Maryland, husband, Joseph, Hilary Miller of Warwick; grandsons, Conor and Eric Bergman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service with military honors at the Rhode Island Veterans' Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 9 a.m.
