Michele Cinquegrano of Verizon was recently presented a gold medal by John Howell, president of the Rhode Island Academic Decathlon, for the company’s ongoing support of the event that has been held annually since 1983. The 2013 competition is March 10 at the Knight Campus of CCRI. So far, 18 schools have registered to compete in the daylong event. Verizon made a $2,000 donation to the decathlon this year.
