Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England has announced Joseph McCarthy, a sales associate affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Warwick, has received the Lear Award. This award was recently presented to McCarthy by the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS (GPBOR) for his more than eight years of service. The Lear Award was developed by GPBOR to honor a member who has been instrumental in local board activities. “Joe’s dedication to the real estate industry and to the betterment of the Realtors of Greater Providence is unmatched,” Ann Enos, manager of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Warwick, said in a statement. With more than 15 years in residential real estate, McCarthy served as president of GPBOR in 2012. Previously, he sat on the executive committee and finance committee of GPBOR and is currently a member of the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS Board of Directors. McCarthy has also been an advocate for effective municipal policy regarding affordable housing in the Greater Providence area.
