Donald H. Mallette
Donald H. Mallette, 45, of Bokar Street, a lineman for Verizon for 13 years died December 28, 2011 at Kent Hospital as a result of a tragic hunting accident. He was the loving husband of Lori B. (Goldman) Mallette.
Born in Warwick, Don was the son of Kenneth M. and Rachel (Kennedy) Mallette. He was a graduate of Pilgrim High School, Class of 1984, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a proud baseball coach for Warwick Continental Little League. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Don cherished his time with family members and friends. He was a dedicated father and a selfless man who was always ready to lend a helping hand. He touched many with his love for life and will be missed.
Besides his wife and parents he is survived by two children, Daniel W. and Karley R. Mallette; four brothers, Kenneth M. Jr., Joseph P., Michael D. and Arthur W. "Skip" Mallette, and several beloved nieces and nephews. He was the son-in-law of Harvey E. and Faye R. (Tebrow) Goldman, brother-in-law of Michael B., Steven I. and Rhonda E. Goldman and brother of the late Pamela A. Salzillo.
His memorial service was held Jan. 3 at Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., followed by interment with military honors at Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
