Donald W. ‘Bill’ Thompson, 80, of Warwick, passed away on September 18, 2015 at the home of his daughter, Paula Nardolillo (Michael).

He was the son of the late Austin P. and Marion C. Thompson. He was also the son of the late Albert F. Hill. Bill was a sales executive in the beverage industry for many years. He supervised national accounts for Narragansett and Falstaff breweries and Monarch wines. He was also a real estate broker for Abbott Properties, and retired in 2007.

Bill will always be remembered for his exquisite taste, his impeccable style and his rakishly handsome visage. He was often compared to such matinee idols as Robert Mitchum and James Garner. His charm and wit will be missed by all who loved him. His passing is a great loss.

He was the former husband of Gladys Thompson of New Jersey and the late Ida Thompson. He is survived by three daughters: Paula L. Nardolillo (Michael), Patricia W. Henry and Jordan E. Thompson. He was the father of the late William C. Thompson. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Joshua Henry of Warwick and Julia Arras (Joel) of New York; and his sister, Claire D. Thompson of Cranston. He leaves his beloved companion, Rita Rook of Connecticut.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill’s life at the home of Michael and Paula Nardollilo, 20 Kenwood Street, Warwick, RI on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 12 noon.
