Donato M. “Dan” DiMonti, 90, of Warwick, formerly of Sutton Street, Providence, passed away January 16, 2012 at Kent Regency.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Antonia Maria (Delle Fave) DiMonti. Mr. DiMonti was a machinist for B.A. Ballou for 28 years and served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a past president of the Holy Name Society of Holy Ghost Church.

He was the beloved brother of Joseph A. DiMonti and his wife, Josephine, of West Warwick and the late Anthony DiMonte and Marie Russo, and loving uncle of several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Jan. 21 at 9:15 a.m. from Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory The Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 7:45-9:15 a.m.
