Donna F. (Breard) Bathgate, 57, passed away January 18, 2014 at RI Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Ronald A. Bathgate for 33 years.
She was a daughter of Ruth R. (Williams) Breard and the late Charles J. Breard. Donna was a paralegal for 30 years and worked for several law firms, including the offices of Frank Flaherty, Charles Butterfield, Daniel Flaherty and most recently Cameron & Mittleman. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #272, where she served as secretary for 12 years and the Oakland Beach Volunteer Fire Co. Donna was a loving, caring and generous person to her family and friends and in return was loved by all. She was incredibly talented in her craft skills including knitting and crocheting. She was always inspired and made so many beautiful items for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her loving dogs, Archie, Allie, Casey, Colonel Braddock and Abbey.
She was a loving sister to Michael Breard, Charlene King and the late Mary Jo Bianchi and Charles “Kenny” Breard. Donna was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; and a great-grandniece. She was the aunt of the late Rachael E. Paola. She was the dear friend of “the two Lisa’s”.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 24, at 10 a.m. in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in Pawtuxet Memorial Park. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 p.m.
