Dorothy Cairns, 71, of North Fort Myers, Florida died on July 8, 2013.
She was born on July 3, 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island, the second child of the late Florence E. and Raymond F. McGowan.
She is survived by her husband, William Cairns; her children: Michael Vitucci, Karen Vitucci, Susan Tupper, Lisa Hoppe and Jennifer Foley; her grandchildren, Michael Hall, Michaela Vitucci, Marisa Gleavey, Ashley Meiggs, Lynsay Meiggs, Gabby Belisle, Scott and Kyle Tupper, Brittany and Ryan Hoppe, Sarah and Christen Foley; great-grandson, EJ Schaier; siblings, Marge Ovalles, Fran Anderson, Susan and James Galvin, Donna Bessette, Jane Thomas, James and Donna Cairns; along with many nieces, nephews; and beloved friends.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial private. Visitation, to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 4-7 p.m. in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt. 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
