Dorothy “Dotty” Andrade, 86, of Warwick, died August 19, 2013 at the West Shore Health Center, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph G. Andrade. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on May 1st.
Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Mary P. (Furtado) Sears. Mrs. Andrade was employed as a packer for Kenney Manufacturing Co. in Warwick, retiring over 30 years ago.
Dotty enjoyed traveling to Florida, playing the organ, and showing her artistic ability in her paintings. Her greatest joy was spending time with and spoiling her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane M. Andrade, RN, and a son, Deacon Kenneth J. Andrade, and his wife, Helen, both of Warwick; four grandchildren, Jennifer M. Andrade-Seaton, Executive Assistant of the Salvatore Mancini Resource and Activity Center, and her husband, Dennis of North Providence, Jason M. Andrade, Firefighter, TFD, and his fiancée, Julia Longo, RN, of Seekonk, Massachusetts, SSG Sean P. Andrade, RIANG, of East Providence, and SSG Brian C. Andrade, United States Army, of Columbus, Georgia; and a great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose Ferreira. She is, also, survived by a brother William J. Sears. Jr. of Pawtucket and a sister, Doris H. Sears of East Providence. She was the sister of the late Hilda M. Santos, Henry Sears and Mary D. Malo.
Her funeral will be held from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting Hours Friday, 4-7 p.m.
