Dorothy (Lovely) Brochu, 88, passed away January 10, 2015 at home in Warwick surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Hector Brochu.
Born in Providence to the late Catherine and Joseph McCuller, she moved to Warwick in 1960. She enjoyed spending time with he family, especially the family cookouts. She was especially gifted at making people feel better when the visited her.
She is survived by four grandchildren: David Silva of Warwick, Chris Silva and Ronnie Harris of Tennessee and Buck Mayzes of Virginia; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was the mother of the late David Silva, Sr., Cynthia Watkins and Bettyann Spangler. She is also survived by her sisters, Janet Lovely of Connecticut and Catherine Smith of Warwick and a brother, Robert Lovely of West Warwick. She was the sister of the late Eleanor Anderson.
The funeral was private.
