Dorothy V. (Woodcock) Fontaine, 95, passed away November 16, 2013. She was the wife of the late Francis P. Fontaine.
She was a daughter of the late William W. and Valentine A. (Boucher) Woodcock. Dorothy was employed as a purchasing agent for Ciba-Geigy before retiring. She was one of the first two women to join the Warwick Lodge of Elks #2196, where she served as trustee. She was a charter member of the Warwick Emblem Club #416 and past district deputy and past state president of the RI State Emblem Club.
Dorothy is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William W. Jr. and Francis J. Woodcock, Gertrude H. Shuler, James E. and Raymond P. Woodcock, Sr.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, November 21, at 9 a.m. from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave. at 10 am. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 p.m.
