Douglas A. Rogers, 54, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, August 31, 2015. He was the husband of Carol (Champagne) Rogers.

Born in Providence, a son of Gladys I. (Webster) Rogers-Verry of Warwick and the late James F. Rogers, he graduated from Pilgrim High School and lived in Warwick all of his life. He worked in substation maintenance, employed by National Grid for more than 27 years.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his step-father, Howard L. Verry, Sr. of Warwick; one daughter: Jessica Walsh; one grandson: Maverick Walsh; one brother: Daniel J. Rogers of Warwick; one step-sister: Sandra Verry of Gold River, California and three step-brothers: Stephen P. Verry of Hope Valley, Howard L. Verry, Jr. of Smyrna, Tennessee and Douglas C. Verry of Warwick. He will be sorely missed by family and friends.

At his request, there will not be calling hours or a service.
