The Warwick Public Library will air the complete first season of the acclaimed English drama “Downton Abbey” on the big screen Thursdays, July 11, 18, 25 and Aug. 1, 8, 15, 22 at 7 p.m.
Viewers can follow the exploits of the upper-class Crawley family and their working class servants from the sinking of the Titanic to the start of World War I; be shocked by the illicit adventure of Lady Mary Crawley, the eldest daughter of Lord and Lady Grantham and uncover the dark secrets of valet John Bates. And they might hiss at maid Sarah O’Brien and footman Thomas Barrow’s unscrupulous schemes as well as chortle at the Dowager Countess Violet Crawley’s acid tongue, and cheer on brave Matthew Crawley, the sudden and unwilling heir to the Downton estate.
