an optometrist

Dr. Harry E. Pass, 70, of Buttonwoods Ave., died February 4, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne (Bechaz) Pass.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Max and Minnie (Fish) Pass, he had lived in Warwick for 30 years. Harry was an optometrist with Dr. Pass and Bertherman, Inc., in Providence for over 40 years. Harry was a Vietnam Army veteran, serving stateside as a captain in the Medical Service Corps from 1966 to 1968 as an optometrist.
He was a member of Temple Torat Yisrael and a former member of Temple Beth-El. Dr. Pass was a member of the American and Rhode Island Optometric Association.
He was the devoted father of Jodi Gaess and her husband, Bill, of Cranston and Lori Pass of Warwick; dear brother of Selma Rappoport and Laurel DeLuca, both of Warwick; and loving grandfather of William and Haley.
Funeral services were held Feb. 6 in Temple Torat Yisrael, 330 Park Ave., Cranston. Shiva will be observed at his late residence Feb. 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
