Sarita Rich, who grew up in Alaska, lived in Warwick and now makes her home in Connecticut, recently visited Robertson School, where she talked about her career as the illustrator of children’s books. Her visit was planned to highlight reading week at the school. She read the book Hypnosis Harry, written by Catherine Bailey, and described how she drew sketches that formed the basis of her illustrations for the work. The book features Harry, who learns how to hypnotize his parents so he can get everything he wants and learns that “no” is not such a bad word after all. The story and Rich’s illustrations captivated kindergarteners, including Connor Gill and Olivia Silva, seen here. (Warwick Beacon photos)
