The East Coast’s Premier Motorcycle and Car Cruise to benefit Special Olympics - Dream Ride 2013 presented by Bozzuto’s Inc. and Hometown Foundation - is back and better than ever.

Engine enthusiasts are riding to Connecticut in August for a great cause. This much-anticipated event will combine shiny-chrome, delicious food, live entertainment, industry-leading-vendors and more. Dream Ride will be held on Sunday, August 25. Riders from all over will converge in Farmington the weekend of August 23, 24, and 25. In addition to Dream Ride, owners of exotic and classic cars can participate in Dream Cruise, presented by Papa’s Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram of New Britain. Registration is now open to the public.

Whether you ride two, three or four wheels or just want to come out and enjoy the festivities, you can register at www.dreamride.org. For more information about the event and sponsorship opportunities, call (203) 250-5660 or email ccaramia@bozzutos.com. All are welcome. Registration is $30 per driver, $20 per passenger and $20 per spectator.

Special guests will include Wayne Carini, host of the television program Chasing Classic Cars. Carini is well-known for his experience and expertise as a master car restorer whose passion for elite and exotic cars has been profiled in the New York Times and numerous automobile magazines. On his show, Carini introduces viewers to vintage and high-end cars that he finds, buys, restores and sells. Chasing Classic Cars airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. on the Velocity by Discovery cable and satellite television channel.

Dream Ride start locations are as far north as Canada and as far South as Florida. Dream Ride and Dream Cruise aim to unite thousands of motorcycle and car enthusiasts to enjoy the ride, celebrate the achievements of Special Olympics athletes and join in a movement that inspires respect and inclusion for people of all abilities.

When motorcycle and car enthusiasts who participate in Dream Ride and Dream Cruise reach the Farmington Club in Farmington, Connecticut on August 25th, they will be greeted by Special Olympics athletes. All will enjoy a Black Angus strip steak and boneless chicken breast luncheon courtesy of Bozzuto’s Inc. and The Farmington Club and have the opportunity to peruse the picturesque Farmington Club grounds, visit displays of leading industry vendors and listen to a great line-up of live bands. Last year’s Dream Ride raised $340,000 for Special Olympics. The event has raised 1.7 million since its inception.

Sponsors include Monster, Dasani, Trantolo & Trantolo, Aqua Turf, The Farmington Club, The Hometown Foundation, and your local IGA Supermarket.
