Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Mass., have announcde that they have donated $150,000 to Special Olympics Rhode Island and Special Olympics Massachusetts South Section, thanks to the support of their loyal guests during a holiday seasonlong fundraiser.
Beginning on Black Friday, guests had the opportunity to purchase refillable travel mugs that entitled the bearer of the mug to 99-cent refills of hot and iced coffee after 2 p.m. through March 31. Franchisees donated $1 for every mug purchased to Special Olympics and thanks to the support of their loyal guests, that donation totaled $150,000.
“We are thrilled with the success of this promotion,” said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee. “Dunkin’ Donuts has been a partner of Special Olympics for more than 25 years and we are constantly inspired by the athletes. We are so thankful to our loyal guests who support us every day, allowing us to support this and other wonderful organizations.”
