Earle J. Cannon, 82, died March 19, 2012 at Kent Regency. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor A. (Jolls) Cannon for 60 years.
He was a son of the late Earle J. and Adeline M. (Gorman) Cannon. Mr. Cannon was employed as a machinist and foreman for Federal Products for 40 years and purchasing agent for the City of Warwick before retiring. He was a member of the Warwick Council Knights of Columbus, enjoyed politics and was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Patricia A. Smith and Michael S. Cannon; two grandchildren, Brendan M. Smith and Lauren A. Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Alannah H. Smith. He was the brother of the late Beverly McCusker.
His funeral will be held March 22 at 8:45 a.m. from Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Ss. John & Paul Church, South Main St., Coventry, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich. Visiting hours are March 21 from 5-8 p.m.
