The Warwick Wildlife and Conservation Commission hosted an Earth Day Cleanup April 18th at Chepiwanoxet Point. They were joined by many volunteers including members of the Chepiwanoxet Neighborhood Association, Stop & Shop employees and Magna Hospitality Group employees. The weather was beautiful as more than 40 volunteers cut brush, removed dead branches, raked, and picked up trash on the trails and along the beach. Stop & Shop donated water and snacks and DEM awarded the Commission a $500 Earth Day Grant. (Photo courtesy of Susan W. Cabeceiras)
