Markowski scored two goals on Friday to lead Hendricken over La Salle 3-2 in an important early-season match-up. The Hawks improved to 2-0, and sit atop Division I-Cimini.

"It's huge," Markowski said. "We know we don't play any games until the new year. We knew this would be big to play a good team and try to get on top of the standings."
